JO's Reminder

Reminder: next week Jungle Cat Water Polo will be holding open tryouts for our 16-under Junior Olympic team. There will be three tryouts on Monday June 8th, Tuesday June 9th and Thursday June 11th. The tryouts will start at 6:30pm and Chaminade and end at 8:15pm. Anyone born in 1993 or later is welcome to try out for free, although each athlete is required to be registered with USA Water Polo (http://usawaterpolo.org). Athletes are encouraged to attend all three tryouts.

The Junior Olympics are being held this year in Stanford California. The tournament starts July 25th and runs through July 28th. We will going out to California early to scrimmage with clubs out there, as well as take a trip to Chicago in mid-July to play in a tournament.

Travel costs for both Chicago and California are estimated to be $1,800. Athletes selected to be on the Junior Olympic team must register with Jungle Cat Water Polo and submit a non-refundable $500 deposit in order to purchase airfare to California.
